Contract duration: 6 months + potential extension till end of year * ColdFusion Skill (REQUIRED): ** A minimum of 3 years experience (certification a big plus) * Strong background in working with CF database apps, (Oracle preferred) * CFMX / CF7 advanced features (CFCs, graphing, reporting) are pluses * XML generation / parsing / transformation experience is a plus * Web Services creation or consumption via CF is a plus * CF skills are primary for this position and are required *Java (optional): ** Experience invoking Java functionality (EJBs, JSP custom tags, and direct invocation of Java classes) in CFMX (and subsequent versions) * Server-side Java programming experience (servlets, back-end processing apps) * XML via SAX or DOM (generation preferred as opposed to consumption) * Web Services creation via Java (esp. using Apache Axis) * Java skills are secondary for this position, we will consider strong ColdFusion candidates without much or any Java skills *J2EE (optional): ** J2EE web development experience with Java web frameworks (JSF, Struts, Shale, Spring) is a plus, with JSF experience a huge plus. Tools: * Open Source development tools: Subversion, Eclipse, Ant * Open Source server components: Apache Axis, Apache Tomcat, JBoss Other: ** Team Player, good interpersonal skills * Proven initiative, self-starter - someone who doesn't require a lot of hand holding to dig into their work * Excellent communication skills; verbal and written * Financial Systems experience preferred * Thorough understanding of SQL and relational databases, along with experience writing queries, debugging stored procedures, and debugging code. Oracle PL/SQL (10g) experience preferred.
