| Description: | Hello everyone, J2 Interactive (www.j2-interactive.com) is an IT consulting firm based in Charlestown, MA. We are not a job-placement agency or "body shop" ... we work directly with our clients to make their projects successful. We think J2 is a great place to work because we're a small firm, all of us are software developers, and all of us want exciting work while still enjoying the benefits of a telecommuting lifestyle. We seek out projects with long-term resource needs so that both our clients and our developers have a sense of continuity and real accomplishment. One of our teams has an open position for a qualified ColdFusion developer whose job will be to build new features and functionality for an existing CF application in the healthcare industry. We are interested in talking to any developers with at least 3 years' experience in both CF and SQL. Candidates must also possess a high degree of professionalism, and an ability to communicate effectively with clients. While the main thrust of the work is definitely CF, it's a bonus if you have also worked in other web development technologies, particularly PHP. Most of all we just want people who are smart and creative and fearless. Frankly we'd rather hire a brilliant, highly motivated developer who's new to CF than someone with loads of relevant experience who lacks the personal qualities we're looking for. Being the flexible guys that we are, we're open to bringing the right person on as either a full-time, salaried employee or as a sub-contractor. If you're a freelancer and want to stay that way, that's fine as long as we can get a minimum commitment from you (20-40 hours per week) that works for everyone. Our salaries / hourly rates are quite competitive and will depend on experience level as well as whether you have team-lead potential in addition to your coding skills. |
