Job Description You will be responsible for rapid application development in ColdFusion and establishing and maintaining professional communications with clients to meet their expectations. You will produce web projects that keep our clients happy, on budget and on time. You will lead a production team and be responsible to coordinate the entire production process from strategy implementation through to technical delivery of our final product. You will liaise with our creative team, manage our production and support our technical team. We are searching for candidates that may have extensive web design and development experience. Perhaps you may have grown and developed in our industry and are now looking to take on more responsibilities and challenges through quality control, project design/creation, and technical management. Preference will be given to candidates with strong Advanced ColdFusion Programming skills and business acumen. Responsibilities Reporting to the Production Manager, this position is vital to the growth of our production teams, client care and sales departments. * Custom program and maintain professional ColdFusion web applications for the company and dozens of website contracts * Configure, manage and migrate database on a senior level * Manage and develop a strong accountable Production Team * Manage all communication flow to/from clients through our production system * Coordinate and conduct client review appointments and upsell our products and services * Coordinate staff, outsourcing and resourcing selection for all projects * Assure we receive signed customer production forms on every step of the process for every job * Develop, install or integrate sophisticated web interfaces * Create and automate statistics and metrics reporting tools * Provide backup maintenance of local computer network * Conceptualize and story board technical and creative project management * Manage and improve our corporate website * Integrate and develop interface for registration and renewal with registrar to our website * Provide network and web hosting management support when required * Follow, uphold and improve our Quality Control system * Ensure signatures are received on every step of the QC process * Refine and improve our production system in developing quality products for our clients * Provide a detailed weekly report to the Production Manager * Take lead, strategize and capture relevant information in production meetings for custom website development * Explain the benefits of all the services we offer so clients get maximum value * Provide backup support to the production team * Perform website updates and technical programming * Provide impromptu or structured cross training expertise to the team * Update company database on a regular basis * Check email, forward to appropriate parties and reply timely with priority to editing requests or technical support requests * Sort and process through emailed and faxed client edits for production * Set up and maintain manual and digital filing systems for clients in the production database * Maintain tracking sheets of time for all clients to ensure profitability to the company on all scope revision changes * Coordinate our network hardware and software support issues with the technical team through our suppliers and install related software and issues as they arise in-house * Communicate efficiently and effectively and coordinate efforts with everyone in the team * Setup client hosting, email, statistics and metrics * Reconcile all features of websites during production * Publish client websites * Create documentation for client websites * Provide training and technical support for clients Qualifications * Demonstrated ability, working knowledge, and strong programming experience in ColdFusion, PHP, HTML, Ajax/Flex/Javascript, Java, JSP, mysql on Red Hat Linux, including a proven development methodology * Proficient with Adobe CS3 Design Suite, including Dreamweaver Photoshop, Fireworks * Proficient with CSS-P and CSS 2.0 * 5-10 years experience in the Internet or related business * Ability to communicate fluently in English * Strong oral and written communication skills * Strong leadership, management and team building skills * Strong ability to multitask many projects at one time from start to finish * Ability to produce highly impressive creative web design in a timely manner * Impeccable flair for customer service * Courteous and prompt * Ability to work independently on projects and also collaborate as a strong team member * Excellent attention to detail, flexible and adaptable to changes * Ability to operate under pressure and meet or exceed deadlines * Ability to commit and meet or exceed your deadlines * Innovative and creative in the form of continuous improvement to internal processes * Ability to understand client business and revenue streams to help develop the website strategy * Excellent project management skills * Excellent time management skills * Thorough understanding of domain name registration and security certificates * Core understanding of web hosting, DNS and mail services * Excellent Microsoft Office skills * Preference will be given to candidates with strong Internet marketing skills |
